About Our Founder

Nalini Mishra, the founder of iLAW – Initiative for Legal Awareness and Welfare, is a dynamic young legal practitioner and development professional deeply committed to the cause of justice, equity, and empowerment. With a strong academic foundation that bridges law and social development, she brings both grassroots sensitivity and legal expertise to the organization’s mission.

Nalini holds a Bachelor’s degree in Globalization and Development Studies from the University of Allahabad, a Master’s in Development Policy and Practice from the Rajiv Gandhi National Institute of Youth Development (RGNIYD), Tamil Nadu, and a Law degree (LL.B.) from Allahabad State University. She also holds a Diploma in Labour Laws and Labour Welfare (DLL&LW) from Bharati Vidyapeeth, Pune.

Her core areas of interest include Labour Law, Women’s Rights, Child Protection, Tribal Welfare, Environmental Justice, and the Indian Constitution. Through iLAW, she aspires to bridge the gap between legal systems and the people they are meant to serve—making law accessible, understandable, and empowering for all.

To create a legally empowered society where every individual has the knowledge and access to uphold their rights, and where institutions are equipped with the legal awareness necessary to foster safe, ethical, and inclusive environments.

Statutory Information

iLAW – Initiative for Legal Awareness and Welfare is a not-for-profit organization registered under the Indian Trust Act, 1882 dedicated to promote legal awareness and welfare. The organization is also exempted under Section 12A and registered under Section 80G of the Income Tax Act, 1961, making all eligible donations tax-deductible..
