iLAW – Initiative for Legal Awareness and Welfare is a not-for-profit organization committed to promoting legal literacy, access to justice, and ethical legal engagement across India. Founded by young legal practitioner and social worker Ms. Nalini Mishra, iLAW was established with the vision of empowering individuals and institutions through legal education and support. Registered as a Trust under the Indian Trust Act, the organization operates from its head office in Lucknow and extends its reach to communities and institutions across the country. With a focus on both grassroots engagement and professional legal training, iLAW serves as a bridge between the people and the justice system—fostering awareness, accountability, and welfare for all.

What We Do

iLAW is dedicated to promote legal literacy and awareness among marginalized and underserved communities across India. The organization provides free legal guidance and assistance to individuals who face barriers in accessing the justice system. Through legal awareness workshops and outreach programs, iLAW empowers communities to better understand the law and engage with it meaningfully. In addition to its social initiatives, iLAW offers professional legal training sessions for corporate and institutional clients on critical issues such as PoSH compliance, the Vishakha Guidelines, Labour Laws, and workplace ethics. By combining education, support, and advocacy, iLAW works to bridge the gap between citizens and the legal system, fostering a more informed and accountable society.
